COL Gordon Davis, USA and OSC 89 Promoted to Brigadier General

On 28 Aug 09, SecDef announced the 2009 Army Competitive Category Briagdier General List, which included Col Gordon (Skip) Davis, OSC 89 in Montpellier, France.  The Senate confirmed the new slate of BGs on 25 Sep 09.  Davis becomes the 11th Army Olmsted Scholar to achieve general office rank.  BG Davis will be assuming the position of Deputy Chief of Staff Operations/Intelligence, Allied Rapid Reaction Corps in Rheindahlen, Germany.

Olmsted Team walks in Honor and Memory of Bob Yablonski

The Olmsted Team Before the Walk A team of over 25 Staff, Scholars and families from the Olmsted Foundation walked in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society "Light the Night Walk" in Reston, Virginia on Saturday, October 3rd.  The walk was organized in honor and memory of Bob Yablonski, Olmsted Foundation past Executive Vice-President.

Two Air Force Olmsted Scholars Promoted to Colonel BTZ

Lt Col Dagvin Anderson, OSC 2000 (Brno, Czech Republic) and Lt Col Stacey Yike, OSC 2000 (Coimbra, Portugal) were both selected below the zone for promotion to colonel on the Air Force's recently released promotion list.  Anderson is currently the Director of Operations, 319th Special Operations Squadron, Hurlburt Field, FL and Yike is currently Commander, 338th Training Squadron, Keesler AFB, MS.  Congratulations to both Scholars on their latest career achievement!
