LtGen Emerson Gardner Retires A retirement ceremony was held for LtGen Emerson (Emo) Gardner, USMC, on 15 Mar 10 at the Marine Barracks, Washington, DC. The Secretary of Defense and the Commandant of the Marine Corps officiated at the ceremony attended by many distinguished guests. Lt Gen Gardner was a member of OSC 78 and studied in Goettingen, Germany. He has served as the active duty Marine Director on the Olmsted Foundation Board of Directors since 2004. We are pleased to announce that Emo will remain on the Board of Directors following his retirement. LtGen Gardner is flanked at his retirement by RADM Larry Marsh, USN (Ret), OSC 68, President of The Olmsted Foundation, and Col John McKay, USMC (Ret), OSC 73.
