Conference Schedules
The following is the schedule and information for the most recent conference at each of the three military service academies:

The Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference (NAFAC), U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD
NAFAC 2010 will take place April 6-8, 2010. The topic is "National Security Beyond the Horizon: Changing Threats in a Changing World."
2010 Roundtable Discussions
National Security Beyond the Horizon: Changing Threats in a Changing World, examines three major areas affecting the future of national security. Each section below lists potential roundtable topics in the area. The final list of roundtables will take into account delegate preferences, interests, and experiences.
1. “The Future of Warfare” - This area will examine the U.S. Military’s role in global affairs, as well as future threats and capabilities. Potential roundtable topics in this area include: Terrorism: A New Dimension of National Security; A Parallel Darker World: Exploring Transnational Crime & Corruption; Jack of All Trades & Master of None?: The Future of the Military in Nation-Building; The Future of Smart Power: Interagency and Joint Operations; UN and NGO's: The World's Lone Humanitarian Vanguards? Swarmed and Hacked – New Technology and the New Rules for Force and War
2. “A Changing International Framework” - This area will examine changes in the current world order, the emergence of emerging economies and the future of international organizations. Potential roundtable topics in this area include: Weapons of Mass Distraction?: An Examination of Global Nuclear Relationships; Impact of the Economic Downturn on National Security and Defense; Rise of the BRICs: Strategic Consequences of an Economically Multipolar World; Africa: A National Security Challenge for America; ?Latin America & Caribbean: No Longer our Backyard; Waging Peace in the Middle East
3. “Energy and Environment” - This area will examine how changing energy scarcity and climate change affect global security. Student Conference on United States Affairs (SCUSA); United States Military Academy, West Point, NY:
The 61th SCUSA conference is scheduled for 4-7 November 2009. The conference topic is SCUSA at 61: Advancing as a Global Community.

The Academy Assembly; United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO:
The 51st Annual Academy Assembly is scheduled for October 6-9, 2009. The topic for this year's conference is Building the Bridge from War to Peace: Defining Interagency Roles in Rebuilding a Nation.
